Karoo Primary School is located in Rowville, Victoria.

In 2019, we have an enrolment of 543 students spread across 23 classes.

DSC_0155We are very fortunate to have modern high calibre classrooms with extensive equipment that facilitates student learning. We are very proud of our grounds that combine extensive artificial turf areas, 3 playgrounds and beautiful landscaping that promotes positive physical and passive play.

Together with our community we aim to educate the whole child and provide them with lifelong learning skills.

Karoo Primary School, established in 1992, is located in Rowville. The school has developed a positive culture of making a difference in students’ education and assisting them to achieve their potential.

DSC_0021In 2008 we completed Stage 2 of a $3.1 million upgrade and moved into our new administration. This followed the completion of a 6 classroom Year 5 / 6 Middle Years complex designed to cater for upper primary students and prepare them for transition into the Secondary arena. We also built a Multi Use facility to complement our gymnasium. In 2010 the Federal Government completed another 4 classroom building and this is housing our Year 2 and provides very specialised teaching areas. With the Federal Government stimulus package we also have created a substantial artificial turf area which includes a running track.

Close association is maintained with local pre-schools and the Rowville Secondary College to ensure a smooth transition process.

The school encourages a close relationship between home and school with the emphasis that education is a partnership between parents, students and teachers.
Strong support from the community is achieved as indicated by an enthusiastic School Council and committee structure and we welcome parent participation in a range of school activities.
