eSmart

Karoo Primary School is working towards becoming an eSmart school. An eSmart school is where the smart, safe and responsible use of information and communications technology is a cultural norm. Students, teachers and the wider school community are equipped to embrace the best these technologies can offer, while being savvy about the pitfalls.

We follow a whole-school framework and steps in order to progress and monitor our progress towards accreditation as an eSmart School. This framework helps our school improve cyber safety and reduce cyber bullying and bullying.

eSmart Schools is a behaviour-change initiative in over 2, 200 schools across Australia. It is an initiative of the Alannah & Madeline Foundation and uses a cultural change approach to improve cyber safety and reduce cyber bullying.

Feel free to talk to your Classroom teacher or eSmart team if you have further questions.
